OUR PURPOSE

My name is Jody and I love to Crochet! Meadowbank Crochet is my passion project (launched in 2026). As someone who gets cold easily, I wanted to help people who are going through cancer treatment or staying in a hospital, care home or hospice to feel a little more cosy. That is the reason I created Meadowbank Crochet!

If you received a beanie hat, I hope it has brightened your day and provided you some comfort! I wish you a speedy recovery!

You should be able to see the name of the person who made your hat by looking at the paper tag that should have been on your hat when you received it. Go to the “Meet our Makers” page to see the profile of the person who made your hat! If there wasn’t a name or the name was “Jody” then I made your hat!

To date we have donated 80 Beanie Hats!

We are just getting started and have more hats made and ready to donate! So watch this space as we grow this community and expand our impact!

If you are a Crocheter or a Knitter… do you have yarn in your stash waiting for a project? Join Meadowbank Crochet and help make handmade beanie hats for people receiving hospital or cancer care. Every hat you make can bring warmth, comfort, and a reminder that someone cares.  I am building a way through Meadowbank Crochet for other crafters to get involved and join our growing community to make a real difference!  Step one is to fill out the Contact form and I will get back to you to share how you can join our cause in a way that works best for you!

If you want to support this cause with a financial donation to help us make beanies, you can donate via the Donate page on this site, or visit my Meadowbank Crochet Amazon Wish List. 100% of all Donations (money or yarn) will be used to make beanies for patients. I don’t make any profit or pay myself a wage from donations.
