All of our Volunteers donate their time and the materials (in most cases) for the Beanie Hats they create! We couldn’t scale this cause without them! Their work is so important and appreciated!

If you want to join the Meadowbank Crochet family and help us make Beanie Hats to donate to people staying in Hospital or Care, you will be asked to sign a Volunteer Agreement. Go to the “Contact” page on this website to fill in the Contact form and we will get in touch with you! Together we make a difference!!

Meet the volunteers who create our Beanies!

Volunteers Name - Madeleine

Crafting history - Madeleine started crocheting in summer 2023 making t-shirt yarn bags and accessories. She has loved making scarves and beanies for family and friends at Christmas and is starting to dabble more in wearables and broadening her yarn horizons! She's excited to continue to make beanies for Meadowbank and support warmth.

Volunteers Name - Lynne

Crafting history - I have been crocheting for just a few years-thank you, Jody (the founder of Meadowbank Crochet), for teaching me. Since being introduced to crocheting I've become obsessed. I've crocheted so many afghans that I ran out of family members who want one. I also enjoy sewing, and make quilts with a group of volunteers here in our tiny (population +/- 450) town in Northern Minnesota, USA. Now that Jody has created the fabulous Meadowbank Crochet I am now making beanies for the cause. So, far, I've finished 10 and plan to make many more.

We also have some Volunteers who wanted to be identified by first name only… these are our Volunteer Ninjas!
